GTA has assisted contractors and owners on many projects involving docks and piers, both on natural soils and on hydraulic fills.

		GTA installed over 3 million feet of vertical drain for the U.S. Navy's Home Port Facility at Pascagoula Mississippi. About 1/3 of the drains were for a new berthing pier. The other 2/3 were for several building locations. Total installation time was under four months. 4,000 of the drains were installed underwater.

		Over one year of construction time was saved at the SeaGirt Container Terminal in Maryland using vertical drains. The drains were installed on hydraulic fill using GTA's low-ground-pressure installation equipment.
